...wow
Wow!! I had no idea Come on Ghost had such a large following! Man, I guess I should never pick out specific songs I like or dislike on this board. From now on I'll say things like: " I love Happy Bivouac, especially that one song with the guitars in it." or "There was this one song that I didn't like...I'm pretty sure it was by the Pillows."
At least my first post made a splash (along with a slew of enemies ) I probably don't love Come On Ghost as much as you people because TYMT was the first Pillows album I bought, and I listened to those same songs for over a year before I finally bought some more pillows albums.
Oh yeah. I want to thank you all for coordinating your different roles so well when punishing my body with every ounce of your strength . Its been an honor.

Re: I think I'm going to be stabbed for this but: Penalty Li
First of all I don't own Smile, so I wasn't able to consider it when voting. Anyways, I think Pentalty Life is a pretty good album as a whole. There are certainly some songs that I dislike (i.e. Dead Stock Paradise and Lonesome Diamond...ugh so boring), but once Freebee Honey hits, the rest of the songs hold together quite well. Mole Town Prisoner has a pretty cool refrain (I like how it switches up the third time through). Plus Terminal Heaven's Rock and I Know You are pretty high energy
Wait, what? Lonesome Diamond has the best chorus on Penalty Life!
Also, anything with the words mole and town has AIDS. And the clap.
You are, however, forgiven because you have Hobbes in your avatar.

Smile. It has less bad songs than TYMT, but both are pretty awesome overall.
But Smile has Smile. Therefore, instawin.

TMYT is the only modern pillows album that I think is really outstanding. Even the weakest tracks on it are pretty good.

no enemies here! it's fun to discuss which songs you like/dislike and why. i tend to listen more carefully to something when i hear a resounding chorus of "WTF?! THAT SONG ROCKS!!!" and then i realize it's really good. usually.

I understand what you mean; I find it somewhat difficult to judge the Pillows newer albums in their entireties. For example sono mirai wa ima is an awesome song, but as a whole Good Dreams doesn't hold together all that well (in my opinion of course). The older material isn't this way; Happy Bivouac and Please Mr. Lostman both seem to have cohesive properties that hold them together as whole works better than the newer albulms do. (Once again this is my mere opinion...PLEASE DON'T BEAT ME AGAIN!!!!*anxiously looks for an emoticon signifying intense fear if impending abuse*)

the sono mirai wa ima single makes up for that. one listen to that makes me feel better about their newer stuff. and the new singles are also great. true, the recent albums don't flow quite as well as the older ones, but they have their moments that remind you why you're still listening to the pillows.

Sono Mirai wa Ima was a good single. Am I the only one who really likes Beehive?
