headphones
I think this would be a good place to put this topic in...anyways
So I have the shitty ipod headphones right now...and they started to buzz and crap and I want to get new ones. Anyone have like really good headphones and would like to recommend them to me....because I need new headphones and fast.

Hm. For an ipod (and assuming you want the bud type), I have some of these (maybe not that exact model number, but in the same product line). They're pretty good. I haven't had any of the problems that those reviews speak of, but maybe I got lucky. I normally wouldn't buy Sony shit if I didn't have to, but I don't regret buying these.

Around here, the first thing people do is replace their iPod's headphones. Not because of the quality, but because the white earbuds are a sure sign of an iPod in the pocket. There's apparently been a real problem with people pickpocketing iPods.

I agree on the Sony EX71. I have the Sony EX51 (same earbuds, but with no chord splitter). They've been really dependable in the two years or so that I've owned them. The bass response is great too for earbuds at that price.
A while back one of my friends turned me into a sorta wannabe-audiophile, even though I really can't afford to be one. So now when I buy headphones for home use I have to spend at least $50 before I consider them decent. Right now I use Sony MDR-V6 headphones. They're got great bass response, good isolation, and they give a pretty flat response throughout their frequency range. This allows for less distortion in the sound and really lets you have fun with the EQ settings. But even though these headphones are great, I'm still thinking of what I can upgrade to...

I use Sennheiser PX 100 headphones with my iPod. I researched before I bought them and they had only good reviews. You can find them online for less than $40. The only thing is that they are open, not sealed headphones. That means outside noise leaks in and your music can be heard by others around you. Open headphones are ideal in low noise environments.
They're also lightweight and foldable.

Yeah, the PX-100s are great. They're excellent headphones, but personally I always prefer earbuds for portable use.

I personally am a fan of Sony MDR-201LPs. They cost $10 at Target and give great bass. That's just my ears though.

They're pretty damn amazing, especially for classical, or anything else that has a lot of stuff going on. You really get a lot of detail with these phones. They're also extremely comfortable.
