Of course a Playstation magazine is going to state that it's better on PS. If there was a GameCube magazine, they would have their own little statements on how it's better on GameCube. I doubt a game system magazine would admit that a very popular game isn't that good on its system. Capcom kinda blew off Nintendo with that anyway, not sure how they did it, since it was a "Only for GameCube" title.

Resident Evil 4--"Player is a Special Forces agent sent to recover the President's kidnapped daughter. During the first minutes of play, it's possible to find the corpse of a woman pinned up on a wall--by a pitchfork through her face."
I guess this was on the description by some parental group. I thought it was hella funny.....
That part got me pretty good. I finally started playing RE4 on the PS2 since my friend got it, and I really like it. It's definitely a game I've got to buy.
...Anyway. The PS2 version of it has a few nice extras, and I must agree with PSM in finding it to be -the- version of the game to own. [Shields against hordes of Nintendo diehards?]...As far as RE5 on the 360, I'd like to know where you found the news, Hybrid. I new it was coming up for the PS3, as Capcom had released a few screens of its graphics production. I've been a bit out of the loop (No internet at home until I can pay the bill tomorrow, sadly, and it's been a few months.), so PSM's November issue was my last peek.
Sure. http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/674/674192p1.html
It isn't the article I was looking for....but yeah...there's one article.

Thanks for the link-- I don't have time to read it at the moment but I've got it written down. I've seriously got to hurry up and pay my cable bill so I can be back on at home. Jesus...x_x
Oh, and. The reason there's not a GameCube magazine? No one cares.

Yeah, I was going to say that.
Don't be hating on the GCN.

Isn't RE5 on the Xbox 360 too?
Anyway I had RE4 and I'm still having fun with it after beating the game a lot after I forgot how many wins.

Amen. I have a bunch of backissues of it I got for free from some guy I bought a super NES to play Super Mario World and A Link To The Past. It was hard to even browse through back then, and by checking out my best friend's younger sibling's current issues, it still hurts to have to look at it. Part of the reason I dislike Nintendo so much is that pitiful rag, but mostly just because they have the least games I want to play, even less than I like on the XBox. The XBox has Elder Scrolls, the GC has Tales Of Symphonia (The sequel of which marks Namco dropping that short-lived partnership with Nintendo like a hot potato and going back to its major host, Sony.) and Resident Evil 0, and the PS2 pretty much covers everything else in my list of preferences. The GBA, though, is a place others should take a que from with all its ports from the SNES to supplement a lack of good original games. My loyalty to the Sony brand comes completely from the fact that as soon as I got ahold of a Playstation and its catalogue of games, I'm still not impressed with anyone or anything else and they continue to satisfy this insane, unrealistic desire for a little more depth and choice to what I want to game that can't be satiated by the almost Disney-esque Nintendo catalogue and XBox's almost too American love of sports games. When Sony broke away from Nintendo and offered its own major platform against Nintendo's 'Nintendo Ultra 64' as it was called at the time, there was no question which was superior. At the very least, I've got a reason. x_@
It isn't as if I just decided that Microsoft and Nintendo deserved my ire one morning; It's taken nearly ten years for Sony to gain me as a repeat customer. Thanks; But you can keep all your other hardware...And your (Pardon my language.) lame-ass magazines.

I find it funny, how everyone quickly mentions all the companies that have dropped the exclusive support to Nintendo but has anyone noticed the amount of games that Square-Enix is making for Nintendo? On the GBA, DS, and their pledged support on the Revolution? No one ever mentions that. It's growing enormously.
Shinji Mikami had pledged to make RE4 exclusive to GCN, including games like Viewtiful Joe and Killer 7. But CAPCOM had the magnificent idea that the games might sell better on PS2. Guess what. They were wrong, every single one of those games sold better on the GameCube.
As for RE4's control's. The controls on the GameCube version are much much more fluid and intuitive than the PS2. Because the controls were originally planned and layed out for the GameCube. The PS2 version also has some framerate issues, longer loading times, choppier graphics, etc. Although it has the extras, Ada's mission, weapons etc.

nintendo exclusively supports nintendo. their exclusive games are what keeps me hooked. but i still have a ps2.
i found that nintendo power felt like it was skewed at 10 year olds. nothing wrong with that, unless you're older than 10.
