The pixies should just give up. Frank Black is doing neo-folk and he doesn't have an interesting voice any more. I have no confidence in his ability to make a "pixies" album ever again. The trend with his solo work has been increasingly indulgent and insulated from reality.

He’s Hyper focused on a particular style and how "in depth" he can make his exploration of that. He's making music exclusively for himself now and, some of it's pretty cool, but I'd rather the pixies just disappear than turn to shit.
