 Help me please! I'm thinking of buying a MP3 player for X-mas but i don't know what kind of MP3 player should i get? and please let it be a reasonable price.
I have my eyes set on [url=http://www.unitedsale.com/product_info.php?products_id=1454]this[/url] so far. Do i also need to buy a MP3 memory chip as well?

Hmm I'd suggest an Ipod... but thats around $300 so it's quite expensive.
You do NOT need a memory card for this mp3 player, but it's quite expensive for 256megs.

Agreed. Carnval, how many songs do you have/want this to hold? By the looks of it, not many (256 is pretty damn small). In that case, iPods are totally out of the question. And $80 for 256 is pretty damn expensive. I might be able to give a little more help in the coming hours.

I know the Ipod holds over 1,000 songs but its expensive I don't know about the Ipod mini how many songs does it hold?

It holds a 1,000 songs, i got one of them beasts. But they suck ass compared to the regualr iPod, you should get the new iPod video

dude, you can hold 1000 songs on anything if they're midi or something. Why do people use that term? Why don't people just use the actually size?
I mean, if I filled an Ipod with psytrance it would probably hold 300-500..

The measurement is based on average MP3 quality and average song length.
If can fit 1000 songs on a 1000 song iPod if each of your songs is 4 minutes, and encoded at 128kbps (most are).
If you listen to long classical concertos (running around 30 minutes a piece or longer), expect to hold much less. And...what the hell do MIDIs have to do with anything?
