[quote="Solomonic Thunder Whale"][quote="Ciidric"]People don't seem to appreciate the best aspects of Living Field. Well, I dunno.. Maybe I shouldn't talk because I can't seem to appreciate the best aspects of Happy Bivouac - I pretty much think it's their weakest album by far. I find the album to be their most simple work, and although some songs are pretty good, none of them are mindblowing or epic in any sense, except maybe Funny Bunny. I find that the vocal lines are the only thing the album has going for it.[/quote]
Trust me its got a lot more going for it than just funny bunny.
Do me a favor go back and listen to HappyBivouac. Pay attention to the closing of Happy Bivouac (the song), the opening drums of RUSH, the vocals in Last Dinosaur, the art of sound arangement in our love in peace, the marriage of sound betwwen shin-chan's drums manabe's guitar in crazy sunshine, the back up vocals in Back seat Dog, the entirety of Kim Deals chorus ( its like flying), the heart felt beauty of funny bunny, the incredible simplicity of Beautiful Morning with you as it continues to rock you forever even after finishing the album, feel the unbridal raw Rocking of ADVICE, and finnally last but not far from least hear carnival. Don't just listen try to hear what its saying. If you do this you will hear one of a few perfect songs in the history music. More than any other song carnival is on diffrent level than even most exceptional music.
Do what I have said and you will see the light.[/quote]
I really don't want to have to listen to an album in a different order than intended by the artist.

No, not really. Although he is right about the album being great, it's still a bunch of bullshit. The "marriage of sound betwwen shin-chan's drums manabe's guitar in crazy sunshine?"

Tatsu wins for appreciating the order a band puts their songs in. [b]It's important, dammit.[/b]

You have [i]got[/i] to be kidding me. I really don't care for the album. I didn't say it was bad. The Pillows perform well, and it has its dose of clever and simple works, but it's just not as great as the rest of their repitoire. I really just don't hold many songs, save a few, up to the same level of enjoyment at all.
Seriously dude. I laughed really really hard when I read your post. What's wrong with you?[/i]

I'm really chewed. I smoked alot of green tonight and I'm still pretty high, so I haf decide to take your little test, despite the fact I've already listened to this album like 200 times and I know it back to front. Mmm, the end of happy bivouac is good. Oh wow and opening drumline. Good vocals in Last Dinosaur - almost like alot of other pillows music. I've always loved Our love and Peace, and I had always held it away from the album when I listened to it. Now it feels out of place with the rest of the songs, maybe because it's so good ^.^ Mmm, Shin does go pretty wildin on the drums there for a bit. Okay. Back Seat Dog's backup vocals do add alot to the song, I will say. Beautiful Morning With You is an alright song. The bass and drums piss me off though sometimes. It takes away from the style of the song, I find. I never really liked Advice that much to be honest. Live, it is quite cool, I must say. Carnival is pretty good. See, I like these damn songs. I think they are good, but they don't feel to me like the pillows strongest work in any respects.
You see, the pillows have alot of patterns in song writing. New Year's Eve from good dreams is pretty similar to That House in many ways. The solo's hold similar qualities too even. Mmm, and it has that nice blend of a really warm vorpally chorus like in Climbing on the Roof and alot of other yummy songs.
Happy Bivouac is good, but I find alot more color in an album like White Incarnation. It has all kinds of clever and great aspects thrown in throughout.

Im sorry, I did mean to listen the album in its original order. I just wanted to make a build up to carnival as I was writing , thats all. I hate skipping around an album its, one of my pet peevs.

Im glad you listened to it. However Im sorry, I did not mean to offend you I was just trying to be friendly and share some of the reasons why I love HB so much, and there are many more reasons than what I had mention. I figured Id spin a diffrent perspective at you that give you a better understanding. But I respect your opinion, and partly agree that thier song writing comes in patterns sometimes. But give them a little bit more credit for the times they are truly original like carnivall for instance.

This is a more accurate depiction of a failure in BBCode.
By the way, I'm not accusing you of lying about liking Happy Bivouac. I'm accusing you of using extremely lame phrases to describe parts of songs that you like.

I've listened to every album several times. I think I know enough about my tastes to decide what I like most already. Thanks anyway.

Yeah, ror. The funny thing is that I actually agree that Happy Bivouac is the best, but I guess he doesn't know that.

case and point, thunderwhale: use as many inane and overly-flowery discriptors as you want, we'll still all think you're wrong.

Does anyone see the constant patterns of the pillows music, throughout their entire career? I mean, listen to Lets See if Thats True Or Not (play it on your guitar actually) and then Hybrid Rainbow. Theres all kinds of things they sorta represent their music through in, but its kind of mediocre when you think about it too.

No, no, he never said you accused him of lying...far from it, he said you accused him of [b]L[/b]ying. Yup, the big one... you aught to go smack yourself.
And Solomonic, honestly, maybe you could hit the preview button before you post, and if your quotes don't work, try it again. Then keep trying, until either you get it right, your fingers bleed profusely (though that shouldn't stop a trooper like you!) or you die, from old age... or whatever.
Or just [url=http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/faq.php?mode=bbcode#4]learn[/url] the bleeding code, it's really easy.
