alright, i've heard people bag on jun saying he sucks, he can't play, and other things. jun suzuki is a good man and a damn good bassist. just let him be. plus he saved my brother from drowning

He's a fine bassist, but he doesn't measure up to Kenji and Tatsuya in terms of creativity, except maybe on Happy Bivouac.

Needs less maybe.

The bass in Happy Bivouac is up there with Kenji and Kashima's better stuff.

I really started listening to the bass since all of you like to bitch about it so much. Upon listening to Good Dreams I came to the realization that Jun is fucking insane, moreso on Sono Mirai wa Ima. And who can forget the Biscuit Hammer solo. On a number of songs, his bass is what makes the song memorable; I found that the parts I was humming all along were in fact the bass lines and NOT the guitar riffs.

Perhaps to all that... but compared to people such as Jaco, Les Claypool, Victor Wooten, maybe even Tetsu, he seems to be just another generic bass player to me.
