I enjoy Noboranai Taiyou because it's something really different from the pillows. The added guest back-up singer (I forgot her name...) and the extra percussion make the song a departure from what we're used to hearing in a pillows ballad. However, the song is pretty repetitive, so I could see why someone would find it boring. But I actually agree with terra that Sawao sings with a lot more emotion in My Girl.

Your right this is really different pillows style in this song But that's what they have been doing in the past years expanding their style of music in other words they give us some sounds that we have never hear or expected to hear. So If you like this song I don't care. It's probaly I have bad taste in music for not liking this song. It's just something new to hear like Nonfiction, Heart is there, My Girl. To me I think both of the songs sound pretty much the same so if you like My Girl then you probaly like Noboranai Taiyou too.

I think noboranai taiyou is a great song... it is supposed to be understated that way. That helps to build the hook in the chorus. Also, the guitar is under-rated in that song. But that is just my 2 cents.

true... and sometimes i like when they experiment (tymt) and sometimes i just don't.

i don't think it's necessarily a bad song, i'm just not into it. and i like some of their other subdued songs, like 'black sheep'.
