 multi-track editing/mixing software
does anyone know of any that is cheap or free?
doesn't even have to be good, i just need something to mix together some wav files.

If it's just something like adding a track at the beginning or end of another, I think Quicktime Pro can handle that. If it's something more complex though, cheap/free options are very scarce.

that's what we (my band) uses. it's so simple it's riduculous.

I use audacity. It's good. My laptop doesn't seem to function iwth anything else.
