if you like their newer stuff better, that's okay, but you can't define whether or not an older album "sounds pillowsy" by their new sound, because they have been changing their style since the very beginning, trying out different things. heck, listen to good dreams and then listen to please mr. lostman. the styles are quite a bit different!

lol pillowsy. WHAT THE CRAP. THE PILLOWS MADE IT. ANY ATTEMPT ON THEIR PART TO MAKE MUSIC WILL REMAIN PILLOWSY.

MARE: SHUT UP. I don't care about their musical styles. I AM SIMPLY REFERRING TO THE RECORDING PROCESS.
I AM SIMPLY REFERRING TO THE RECORDING PROCESS.
??? but you were talking about the sound as well:
Notice the big difference in the way it sounds? Notice how most of the pillows' stuff doesn't sound at all like anything on Moon Gold?
Recording processes were different because well, they were a small band, and recording processes were a little differen at that time for small bands. Nothing to do with the pillows, although I am told they had some great recording tricks the pillows used. And that was worse than the pillows now?
Also, discovolante suxx.
THE WAY IT SOUNDS. Christ. Listen to Kimi Ga Iru. Go on, I can wait. Now listen to something off Please, Mr. Lostman. Anything. Notice the big difference in the way it sounds? Notice how most of the pillows' stuff doesn't sound at all like anything on Moon Gold? THERE YOU HAVE IT.
Yes it does. Moon is Mine's guitar intro sounds familiar to I NEED SOMBODY's guitar intro. But for Kimi GA Iru i can't find anything familiar to the songs in PML album. And i don't think MOON GOLD was recorded bad at all. it was probaly Fool on the planet's recording the song Swanky Street it came out bad

okay. go eat your favorite kind of lolipop. suck on it hard. now go eat another one of the same brand and flavour. now imagine that second lolipop had a poor manufacturing job. there's some hair stuck to it, the wrapper's off-color, but hey, it's still your favorite lolipop, right? it's like that with me and moon gold. it's still the same great songwriting and style that made the pillows who they are, but it just doesn't feel right.
i know some people who feel the same way about living field, but they suk teh cokc.

Enough feuding on instant music.
New instrument discussion.
Piano
1. Cold Side of the Street - Spiky Brothers
Great song.
2. Imagine - John Lennon
It's a pretty signature piano part, I think.
3. Virtual Insanity - Jamiriqui
It was on my playlist. I think I spelled their name wrong anyway.
4. Let it Be - the beatles
another famous piano intro
Okay, so I don't have much piano music.
