guitar -
the killing field - the pillows
bass (in no particular order) -
juliet - the pillows (i don't know why, but i love songs where the bass carries the melody)
anything off of kool spice.
vocals -
i have to agree with jomei and say that something like a romance is great. in fact, living field for the most part may be yamanaka's best vocals.
overall songs -
gah...strange chameleon, hybrid rainbow, something like a romance, all of kool spice, and swanky street.
albums -
kool spice, white incarnation, and living field.

Nothing at all. I don't even particularly care much for Kool Spice, yet I can still easily see that it has some nice technical prowess all the way around. Maybe it's not entirely astounding bass-wise, but I would definitely refer to it postitively.

It's not particularly poor, but since the majority of the album is basically a crapped-out Living Field (with the exception of Naked Shuffle), I don't see why he wouldn't go for that album instead.

No, can't say I am. But I can't think of a complete album that I dislike more than Kool Spice. Also, there is no way to compare a complete album to a single song, in my opinion.
Don't get me wrong, Kool Spice still has Naked Shuffle, and Moon Gold still has Kimi Ga Iru and Sayounara Tansai Wakusei. But overall, I really can't say I like the albums as a whole.
Also, Moon Gold just sounds like it's recorded funny. Not necessarially bad, just strangely. It doesn't really mesh with the sound the pillows have had on other albums. I have the same problem with Kool Spice.
Nevertheless, they're the pillows, and that automatically makes the albums better than a good 75+% of most any other album released.
