Next time, I'll make sure you are swinging from my "berries."
Also, they played a new song called NonFiction tonight. They wrote it back in October or November, and this was the first performance. Wai! It was highly cool. It should be on a CD this year.
That's back from March 6th. I wonder how it will sound. I'm hope it something along the lines of "Rosy Head" for that was an incredibly fun song. If not, then something along the lines of anything that was on Happy Bivouac.

Hopefully one of us is in it, but they were taping me when they Sawoa asked about my shirt so I pray they didn't cut me out.

I hope I'm on there somewhere. Don't remember if there was anyone taping when I gave him my article.

i just realized that the building in the delicious bump picture is the Crocodile Cafe. =] if it was featured in BECK and on this cover, they must have really liked that place.

How could it have been featured in BECK when BECK was all said and done before they ever toured here? I doubt the makers of BECK knew the Crodile Club even exsited.

It was indeed in BECK, but I highly doubt it was because of the pillows.

okay. quick and dirty.
after one year, here's a new single from the pillows! the storm of releases to celebrate their fifteenth anniversary last year has quieted, and finished with great results. next was the good dreams tour, and many re-recordings which were an outstanding anthology of bygone days. now they're continuing the miracle. in the sixteenth year was the unbelievable american tour and yamanaka's side project, the predators- they're working away like demons. in the middle of so much fervor- you wouldn't think it's really been a year- they're about to release the single 'non-fiction'.
with these new tunes, these rare guys have their pop sense at full throttle. it is inevitable pop-rock, a live climax filled with wordplay. with alternative in the background, they just enjoy this rock music. to make you feel the major feelings is truly precious. but these guys will overcome all barriers with only their belief in rock music, and we can grasp the sixteenth year's reality through the new song lyrics from these guys who've got fifteen years on their shoulders.
'after all, if you believe everything is fiction except for you, you won't be afraid. when you can carry on, without realizing, someday you'll believe in yourself and i can see you.' while a a cynical guy like sawao, born from the loneliness of being unable to trust anyone, sketches in his lyrics a world brimming with loneliness, he also gives you the courage to believe in something and take a step forward. pop songs like this will force you to digest a message that zooms in on part of that mentality. are they concealing embarrassment? are they prisoners of conscience? well, i don't know for sure. but they don't just laugh, carefree, at their problems. you will feel their assuredness- they will certainly surmount whatever problem. as only he himself will know the truth, yamanaka's 'non-fiction' will probably ensare you. but even if you're at home, alone and lonely, having a listen, it is wonderful, emotional pop-rock.
