It has to be good.
I don't think Frank Black is willing to release a weak album.
He knowes what we as Pixies fans are expecting.
He wouldn't dare release a Frank Black album, and slap the Pixies name across it.
He's better than that.
Most bands would would be eating up all the money from the tours, and shit out a new album just to boost sales and get more publicity. Frank on the other hand seems to know the importance of the new album. It is going to be good.

I don't want to speculate, but I think at the very least we can expect that they will put out an earnest effort. It doesn't seem like they're trying to cash in on their revived popularity.

I'm hoping that Frank Black will give the other members more input than he did on Trompe le Monde. But if it's Pixies, it's gonna be good.
