I think it's funny that he mentioned WHAM! after bringing up punk rock
I don't know if you were serious, but I think Sato was mentioning the sound of the guitar when he said "WHAM" and not the duo with George Micheal.
yuh. it was an onomatopoeia. i'll put it in italics or somethin'.

Yeah, I thought he meant WHAM! the band. I thought it was funny b/c I thought he was implying that WHAM! was very punk rock when they are actually very poppy. Sorry, I guess I was wrong about that. And, yeah, Son of a Beach is the instrumental hidden track on Smile. I found out the title by looking at the Smile cover art where all the titles are drawn and Son of a Beach was written very tiny after Calvero so I just assumed they meant that hidden track. (BTW Jomei, I'm a girl) But, yeah, I just wanted to throw my opinion out there.

Sorry to confuse your gender. I didn't see who was being quoted there.
Wait a second. There are no girls on the internet.

The few j-rock chats and message boards I've seen or been to were always full of girls. They're usually talking about how they want to rape Hyde or imagining gay, yaoi-like romances between Hyde and some other effeminate Japanese singer. Yup, intelligent conversations about music from another land.

Man, that sounds about right.
God I hate VK. If you ever go to a forum and there is more than one avatar like this:

expect a topic like "who is better gackt or hyde?"
oh wait...

I had a friend who who had pictures of Gackt all over her binders and in her folders and, y'know, I couldn't understand why she throught "he" was so attractive. I thought Gackt was a girl, a really flat-chested girl who was tired of being picked on and just started telling people she was a guy. I don't know why there's such a slew of girls who throw themselves at pale, effeminate boys in drag in the first place. It's just mind-boggling.

I think it's a Bowie thing. Bowie gets to do that though, because he's Bowie.

The reason bowie can get away with it is becuase his music doesn't suck ass.
Also he is pretty tough. He could still probably beat the shit out of hyde.

excessive effeminimity (that a word?) aside, some pretty awesome music has come from L'Arc En Ciel in my (apparently un-shared) oppinion.
