This is one of the worst bands I've ever heard. I mean, bakuon drop was tolerable on the first couple listens but it HURT to listen to Dizzy Life from start to finish. In no way did I find it fun music, but I guess some people might be able to enjoy it. Oh well. However, yeah it did pick up at the end of the song - I mean, if it was more like that throughout the song - maybe it would be okay.. It's still only two songs, so who knows.
Take it for what is it guys, just some kind of fun party music. I get the feeling they would be really good live though.
I don't think going "OMG this FUCKING SUCKS" has a point, but what is the point of defending this. If we don't have any standards, and take all music for what it is, the quality of modern music will continue to degrade. We should expect quality and creativity, not just make excuses for crappy music becuase "it's not supposed to be good".

I don't think the band made this. it's connected to the lj community.

personally i'm kind of into it. It's not amazing or anything. But i think its pretty good. I can how people wouldn't like it. I'm not gonna be like "well wtf why dont you like it, it rocks, you have bad taste" but i do think its alright.
I'm still getting the album i think.

I want to hear it, though. If it really sucks, to my ears, then I don't think I will bother importing the album.

Catfish, you take stuff way to seriously. Not every band around is going to be great thus is life. If you don't like it, don't listen to it, it really is that simple. Do you honestly think you guys bitching about it is going to change anything? It's ONE band in this whole wide world and since everything is relative (especially people's taste) some people will like it, and some people won't. Knocking it or complaining isn't going to change that and I prefere to look for what I do like about it rather than what I don't. Not too mention the fact that the elitist "Every thing I like is better then this shit." crap get really $%^ing old and no body wants to hear it. I heard a saying once and it goes "I'll listen to what I like and I don't like you.", and that is what I choose to do. Not that I don't like you, but you get my meaning and if I want to defend it (which I don't think I was doing but anyway) I will do so. I am entitled to my opinion just like all the complainers are entitled to theirs.

i dont think you got his point mellie. I think he meant, theres no point in saying "OMFG this sucks", but theres also no point in saying "it's supposed to be bad" and defending it like that.

If you like it, that's good. Personally, I can't find anything in this music worth liking. Why argue and defend?

Once again, my point was missed. I was just saying what I thought and I wasn't trying to "defend" anything. If I thought it sucked, I would say so.

I can understand the "it's nothing new" complaint, but I personally don't care. I never expected anything groundbreaking from these guys in the first place.
I dig every song I have heard from 'em a whole bunch. Don't really have a reason why... I just do, and an explanation isn't really necessary.
On a side note, I just pre-ordered Hunting!!! earlier today and I'm damn excited about it.

Thread Jack.
Ha ha! I just added The Predators to my Myspace account and they (whoever runs that page) responded with a video clip of bakun drop when they added their comment to my page. Well the damn thing is in Quicktime format and QT kind of makes my computer freeze. Anyway, it froze up right on the Sawao crotch shot and just stayed there. Apparently even my computer knows who's berries I like to swing from.

i'm in full agreement with catfish's statement about music. I feel the same way about having a standard.
