Post why the pillows mean so much to me
i've been thinking about this for the past couple of days. the pillows are (from what i can remember) the first band that i actually found out by myself. my other favorite bands-the adicts, the toy dolls, crass-i got to know thru my cousins. its sorta safe to say that i've never discovered any other band by myself. that is until i found the pillows back in the begining of fall 2003. i, like the majority of pillows fans, got hooked by the famous ride on shooting star at the end of FLCL. which is like my number one favorite show, just like a few of you. my collection of pillows songs grew by like 50+ songs within the past week. because i found a website that had like 8 or 9 albums. but i just really appreciate them. more than the other 3 bands i mentioned. don't get me wrong, i love them to death. they are part of my top 4 bands. but something about the pillows that just hooks to me. especially right now. i've been listening to them for than the others combined, lately. sure, i might now understand a word of japanese (the translated lyrics don't help much, but thats cuz i don't understand a word of what they mean. but its a nice addition. so i thank terra for that). but like i said, something about them just hooks me. i don't know, i really can't explain myself right now. any of you know what i mean or feel the same?

It's more of that they just rule over most American bands. American bands dont seem to try as hard as they do. Americans seem to go for one hit wonder kind of things. But The Pillows have many great hits anf few songs that arent worth listening too. So thats probably why you just like them so much more, they're just much better.

hey don't be mean to the guy because he is dedicated to the pillows and isn't a cyborg slave to the boiler that heats the baths... >.>

Listening to them makes me feel on top of the world. Like floating.

I feel the same. The Pillows make me happy. I'm a music person, so it's great to feel that way. And it's great to be able to feel that way. I'm sorry for those who just see music as just music.
