"Boku wa Collector" by The Collectors. Just got that album, "Niji-iro Circus" and "UFO Cluv" on vinyl. Goddamn, this band rules.

It's a pretty sweet one, but just a heads up, there's no jacket. It's an obi, a big foldout booklet thing, and the record inside one of those semicircular plastic inner sleeves inside a black cardboard inner sleeve (the whole thing comes in one of those normal resealable plastic sleeves). Not a big deal, but since it retails at 3996 with tax, it's a little weird that they didn't do a jacket.

Not surprising that it's different from the other 2 since it was released under another label. I haven't looked into in, both I thought it was strange how UFO CLUV was seemingly randomly reissued on vinyl. Like, suddenly one label released their 6th album on vinyl, then a bit later a different label released the first two albums.

Been listening to Paul Weller's True Meanings. A couple of songs off this album reminded of early pillows stuff in the guitar work.

I thought the guitar player's playing and the guitar player's tone here almost reminded me of Manabe's playing and Manabe's tone for the pillows in their 2nd movement era but then I later learned that the guitar player was Johnny Marr!

I know that Manabe was influenced by Marr in their 1st movement era, but I didn't think he would take the influence further towards their 2nd movement era too. I also think he wouldn't also follow him post-Smiths either. But yeah this is quite interesting!
