I like this a lot. It reminds me of Lorde. Is that what you're thinking of? It sounds like Lorde's style of lyrics (and singing) to me but it's kind of hard to tell what she's saying.

Shoegazey like some dreampop or whatnot, more than Lorde, I'd guess?

But I've only heard whatever Lorde I heard in passing, so I don't know if she does shoegaze, actually.

Not sure if it's Lorde-- I think Haley's voice reminded me a little of Hope Sandoval, and the song almost recalled a noodles song to me.

Yeah, it's definitely got that shoegazey quality, which I think is done really well here. I'm not normally into shoegaze; I think most of the stuff I've come across that was explicitly labeled "shoegaze" didn't seem to have much musical substance. Or maybe it was just buried behind all that reverb.

It's something about the way she sings that reminds me of Lorde. Somewhat similar personality.

Her voice is so amazing. We saw them play live and it was absolutely KILLER.

Their lead guitarist rocks a sweet Telecaster, and their tone is amazing as a result. Also that voice, dear god.

Found a physical copy of Sappukei at Book Off today that I'm pretty stoked about, with the OBI. Not my favorite of theirs, but in giving it another run through, I like it more than I remember.

Sappukei isn't my top NG album, but there are some pretty key tracks on there. Gotta shoutout TATOO ARI, Sasu-You, Sappukei, and Zegen (though this track had taken a long time to grow on me, due to its verse melody, the ferocity of the chorus brings me back. Inazawa is fierce here.

That's pretty much my exact feel of it as well, those are my key tracks more or less, and I had to undergo the same growing period with Zegen due to the verse vocal melody.
