Weak resemblance IMO. But if that's the case, he removed all the catchy. The GNB chorus is also so much more dynamic and emotional.

I'll still never forget the sheer euphoria I felt when I heard the pillows soundchecking it in 2005, and then got to hear it in all it's glory just some minutes later.

But it's stuff like this that really makes me wish the Buster Shop was available outside Japan. I would definitely be buying this single. The 2 new b-sides plus the live tracks definitely make it worth it. Any word on why this is being released only in venues and the Buster Shop? Kinda odd that they would record some new b-sides and not put out an official single for the masses.

They sent me stuff a long time ago (when 90's my life returns was released), but have ignored me every time I have inquired about ordering since. I just emailed them again for laughs, but I bet it will be the same story.

Maybe if we can get enough people to bug 'em, they will be willing to deal with us.

If you really want stuff from the Busters Shop, or any other seller that only ships domestically, you might consider using a mail forwarding service like Tenso.com. The service fees and international shipping are usually substantial but they're by no means outrageous and they may be worth it if you really really want something.

EDIT: Sorry, you can't use Tenso because the Busters Shop only has money transfer and cash on delivery as payment options. There's some mail forwarding services that appear to offer cash on delivery services, but they seem a fair bit harder to deal with than Tenso.

Alternatively it helps to have a friend in Tokyo who purchases stuff for you and mails it internationally for a very small fee

Really cool that this single is getting released phisically with these b-sides and bonus live tracks, specially the live tracks, The Pillows should totally realize that we all want a proper CD live album already. Also, the reason they're releasing this only through live venues and the Busters Shop may be that it seems that their contract with Avex ended (that would explain why the new album is under King Records again).

Being that it's King and not Delicious Label that distributes their music, there shouldn't be any trouble for King to get a new release into major retailers, unless it was a last minute decision to release "Cuckoo" physically. Making the new single exclusive to live shows and the Busters Shop is more likely to be a decision by The Pillows to make the release a little bit more special by limiting its release. On the further matter of labels, anyone notice that Pony Canyon distributes The Predators' stuff?

Yeah, but maybe they landed a deal with King to only distribute albums, so they had to distribute this single by theirselves. The most probable thing though is that they settled the deal with King before the announcement of the album, so they didn't have time for releasing the single before (also they probably didn't know which tracks to leave as b-sides) and maybe King didn't want to release the single after the album, because Japanese artists and labels like to release singles before and not after the album (with a few exceptions of course, for example Kanojo wa Kyou).

Normally, I would yap at people to support the band and not do this, but since the Buster Shop doesn't even acknowledge us and there's no other way for oversea fans to hear it...
