Still thirsty for them Bloodthirsty Butchers. They released a dvd about 2 weeks ago with concert footage from 86-90. http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/KIZB-213
Been thinking of picking it up for a while now. Maybe next month.

Oh man, this band Favorite albums are No Album No Mudai, Youth and Birdy. The tribute albums are also really cool. Btw anyone has Birdy in 320kbps or higher? Would be highly appreciated.

What about Kocorono? August is a masterpiece! July, October, November... December... I wanna listen to them all!

Re: Bloodthirsty Butchers
Yeah I know... it's strange, it is considered the quintessential album of the band by many, but it never really clicked with me. Maybe too drawn out for my taste? I don't know, when I think of it, I have in mind that it has not so much 'punch' and 'kick' as the other albums I mentioned. Not to say it's bad... I just listen to the songs on the other albums on a more regular basis.

Re: Bloodthirsty Butchers
I'm kinda with you, Ashinow. Btb's other albums have melodies and grooves that just stick out more. Especially if you get into btb from around the birdy/banging the drum era (as I assume we all have), kokorono may just seem a little harder to grasp. Tidus, could you spare some words in what draws you most to your favorite kokorono tracks?

Re: Bloodthirsty Butchers
Good news, everyone! Someone finally loaded the Copass Grinderz version of July onto youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjiGf_sXkNUIt's kinda like listening to what you would expect an earlier version of btb were to cover their own song. It's pretty good, but I really miss the bass of the original. In other news, I've also managed to track down two other tribute albums for them, apparently done in 1999. It's where that weird version of Gogatsu/May comes from. If anyone's interested, I'll probably upload em somewhere.

I used to have those, not sure if I still do. Wouldn't mind a link.

Re: Bloodthirsty Butchers
They're not separated on mediafire, but they're tagged properly, so it shouldn't be hard to figure out what's what. https://www.mediafire.com/folder/fwcsmv27yixvw/MusicKinda disappointed in the vanilla 1999 album though.
