For the past month, I've been listening to [i]The Cherry Garden of Jimi Hendrix[/i] by Yuri Morozov... I originally found him when I was in high school, but just recently realized that some German label reissued this album last year, so I bought a copy. He's considered the pioneer of Russian psych, and the album was recorded and released underground in the Soviet Union in 1973. (The reissue also includes a lot of other songs that were recorded around that time).

I like it, myself. I don't know if it's "the greatest psych album ever recorded," (some things are a bit off, or could be improved, I think) but I certainly do like it and, considering where he was and what he had to work with, I think it's amazing.

I've been continuously listening to Kevin Devine and Brand New for the last few months, with a bit of Thrice and Manchester Orchestra in the mix as well because going to see all of them play a show together in September (Summer Ends festival), but the past few days have been a "pillows discography" adventure, this time from the newest to oldest release. Got through into Moon Gold by the end of my workday today.

Nah, the Buzzcocks have been on my "to listen to" list for a while. I used to have a couple albums of theirs on some music sharing site when I was in college, but when that site got nixxed, I lost their stuff and I don't really remember what I listened to.

Alright, I've got some other recs that I've been putting off that I can go through first, but I'm interested in hearing what ends up sticking out to you when you notice something cool that you'd toss at people.
