I liked The Pees, Asain Kung-Fu Generation, ORANGE RANGE, The Babystars, L`Arc~En~Ciel, Hide with Spread Beaver, Hyde, Art School, Noodles, I have more but right now for the last 2 days I been looking at some more.

J-rock isn't really a bad name for the music. But saying or calling Japanese people Jap is a racial slur.

It's not as bad as most of them, really.
Jap is short for japanese, and it may be offensive to some, but look at the rest of them :/ http://www.rsdb.org/
There is also Frank Zappa's version of JAP - jewish american princess - which doesn't refer to japanese people at all.

I've discovered a range of Japanese artists here. The site features artist info and reviews among other things, wonderful resource. Some artists that I've really liked are (in no particular order) shiina ringo, sasagawa miwa, ex-girl, suneo hair, remioromen, zoobombs, dj krush, hajime chitose, dry & heavy...this list will never be complete.

I realize a lot of people think it's short for Japanese but in reality, it's not. Trust me when I say, MANY Japanese people find it very offensive.

I know. That's why I said that it is in fact offensive, but look at the rest of the racial slur database, too. Some of those things are quite cruel. :/
And Frank Zappa is incredible.

I've mainly been listening to the Noodles lately because it's hard for me to get files via p2p so I mainly use aim (through kurisu's thing). I have all the Chewinggum Weekend songs and AKG (I bought the CDs), and I have some of Art-School, The Brilliant Green, Bump of Chicken, Going Under Ground, and Straightener. I want to listen to more types and such, but my stupid wireless is...well, stupid.

BUMP OF CHICKEN, GOING UNDER GROUND, noodles, Asian Kung-Fu Generation, GO!GO!7188, Cornelius, L'Arc, and Blankey Jet City among others.

I've really been meaning to check out more stuff from Art-School, Number Girl, Straightener, and many others, but 56k certainly has its limitations. :\
I listen to many Japanese rock artists. Just to name a few; スネオヘアー, レミオロメン, バンプオブチキン, ゲントウキ, フジファブリック, ザ・コレクターズ, みすちる, 奥田民生.

Typing in Japanese is fun. :P
How do you do that?
