I rewatched Fight Club today, and a new theory caught my mind.

Mind reblown. Definitely puts a different twist on things. I went and looked up the movie script, and there evidence can be pretty damning if you look at it this way. Check out the script and read it this way if you want.

Keep in mind:
[color=#FFFFFF]We first see Tyler Durden's afterimage and Marla both at the Testicular Cancer self-help group, and while she's walking away from the group, Durden's image covers her for a brief second.[/color]

I like to think she is a manifestation of Tyler that Edward Norton incorporates.

Near the end, when Tyler shaves his head, he also starts wearing Marla-esque clothing.

Man, I gotta rewatch this movie. I didn't watch it until the other year or so, and it's one of the best I've seen.

I like to think of it as Norton-Durden as the ego, Pitt-Durden as the id, and Marla as the super-ego, and the way all three interact and how eventually the interaction collapses as he loses himself.

I've finally got around to reading the book, and virtually all the evidence suggests that Marla's in his head as well.

Score one for this guy.
