I honestly think if they got onto Conan, they're fanbase would sky-rocket. As you know, Conan loves to find these good underground bands. He was the first host to have the Strokes, the White Stripes and Slipknot on late-night TV. So there could be a chance that we may see Sawao and the gang on Conan as early as this year. All they got to do is make a big impact in Austin; which shouldn't be too hard. You see, with America become a mixed bag of different world cultures, the general population would come to embrace them. If films such as "Hero" and other Asian movies hit big, then the Pillows can too. And for those whom don't want to see the Pillows become mainstream, well, if they don't become mainstream, then there's no hope for us to see them in the U.S.A. If they become multi-platinum sellers, then that's not such a bad thing. Which one of us wouldn't dream of joining 20000 other Pillows fans at Madison Square Garden?

At least that's my opinion.
If that happens I'm going to shit on a plate and film me eating it and send it to all of you.

I'm taking my email off my profile.

the pillows shouldnt go mainstream in america. they would be totally ruined by all the scene kids and stuff, who annoy me so freaking much. really, i wish all kinds of financial and popularity success on them, but i dont know if theyd really WANT mainstream america as their fans...

Honestly, compared to Japan, America sucks. Filled with lazy people and striving to be differant from the rest of the world.

It takes a special kind of person to listen to the pillows.
1. Someone who won't discriminate just because race. So what if they're japanese.
2. Finally Someone who doesn't mind not knowing what they're saying. So what if you don't know what they're saying it's the music that counts. I can't understand squat when I hear metal or death metal bands yet they seem to be so popular.

The people in my life whom I've introduced to The Pillows have all had that complaint. I've become much more selective in doing so, because they all make comments along the lines of "what's the point in listening to something you can't understand?" Everyone's just so hung up on that, it's ridiculous.

I do think I'd enjoy The Pillows even more if I learned Japanese, but it's the music that touches me.

because britney and ms. simpson have such profound lyrics. you couldn't possibly enjoy their music otherwise!

The Pillows aren't shitty enough to become mainstream in America or Japan for that matter. Think about it, how many bands that actually have some talent have sold out Madison Square Garden lately?
