Hm, well... do you maybe have an extra thumb/flash drive you could put it on to give to the band? If not... I don't know if one of us should overnight a DVD to you, or maybe stick with the original way with how Chris would get it to the band. Ideas guys?

It's not unusual to feel weird and awkward recording and then watching yourself on video.

Since I'm made of lazy, but still want to be helpful, how about everyone that wants me to toss together a rough translation for subbing their little blurb, please send me an EMAIL (not PM; address is just my username here at gmail) with the content of your video written out. I don't feel like listening, writing it down, and then translating, so if you do that first bit of it for me, I'll be nice and help with the last bit. Deal?

That would be awesome, thanks for offering Mare! really, i think that decision will be up to Chris. I saw a clip of an early test he made, and it's a little different than I think we had imagined it. Although this was apparently what he envisioned from the start. Instead of collecting all our videos and slapping them on the disc, he's making a narrative of all our videos so that they flow together, i.e., all the introductions first, followed by a few sentences from everyone, rinse and repeat. It looks really cool so far, but we're going to have to see how it gets edited, and once he has the full video finished, I'll make a transcript of everything said.

Another note, was that he said he has a contact from the band who might be able to translate it herself, thus bypassing the need to subtitle the video for ourselves. However, as far as I know, he's still waiting to hear back from her. So I guess we'll let you know in a couple days if it's now necessary for you to translate then Mare, if that's cool with you.

Yeah she says she can deliver the vid. It wouldn't hurt to have translations, but now it's just a matter of finishing this video and passing it over to Mare with enough time so he can do all of that.

So keeping that in mind, we should really have the remaining videos sent to me and edited down by Monday night, PST, with a fall back of Tuesday night, PST. We can all watch and "approve" on Tuesday or Wednesday, after which the file can be translated and/or uploaded to a URL (maybe the pirouzu homepage or one of our youtube channels?). The Avex folks can have it for the weekend, but the winners can also access it on their mobile phones (ideally, I know data plans get funky during overseas flights) during their after partaaay.

Does this make sense?
