I just saw Papercuts tonight. There were only a few people at the show, and I felt a little bit bad for the band (they had to compete with the Flaming Lips playing next door, haha) but it was still nice.

Next, Shonen Knife's 1000th show celebration on 9/16. I haven't seen them live before, I imagine it will be fun.

The last show I went to was actually a show my good friends from high school were playing. They opened for Craft Spells on a West Coast tour and they were awesome!

Next show I'm going to is Odesza in October, although apparently Slow Magic is coming to Seattle in a few weeks, so I might go see him too.

Going to see Beach Fossils this weekend, then This Town Needs Guns with Mylets in October...then Tame Impala in November!

Yep, shit got real. Best pillows days of my life.
Started yesterday evening, watching the 2nd movement DVD with fellow busters (Brye, Juan, Philip and Andrew) till around 4am, then got about 5 hours asleep and went to Tokyo Dome City for the show and before the show met some other fellow busters, met up with Cody and Danny amongst other people. Then we stood in the line for the merchandise, I don't know, maybe 2 hours. Then, right before we should have gone in, they stopped the selling of the merchandise, because they had to make preparations for the fans to enter the building for the show, or something like that. Anyway, to wrap things up a bit, we all got a nice standing place in front of the pillows, just about 10 people between us and the band. The show felt really short, but it was really nice to finally have seen them live. 'Let's see if that's true or not' really blew my mind, almost cried there man...too emotional. Also 'Scarecrow' the opener, really got to me personally, like all the memories of listening to the song and the pillows in general just flashed through my mind. So yeah, Budokan was better, for sure, but because this was my first show, I was still satisfied. Then after the show we were still able to get our merchandise and then we had an after party with still other busters, Japanese busters from the fan club. First we went to a place and had some nice food and beers, and then we went karaoke craaazy. We did like seriously about 100 pillows songs. We were with about 11 busters. And then, I think it may be the best part, when we went home to our hostel, I went to the pc to listen to 'Bootleg the pillows'... and it was really great (I just finished it acutally). For me two songs were okay (compared to the original). But I would like for you to enjoy the album without any prior information about the songs So yeah, awesomeness all around

I am so happy for you, and everyone who was with you. It sounds like you all had so much fun, I wish I could have been in on it too. Such great memories you will have! Someone will HAVE to show us the pictures taken!!

I'm happy you went through with it. It's unlikely they will come to Europe (except that one random visit by Manabe to France... so maybe, you never know) and it seems doubtful they will do another US tour.

If they don't give us one more US tour, imma be super koopa troopa pissed.

I don't see why they wouldn't, they don't seem to be winding down, with a new album coming out this month. I could see them coming back eventually.
