 Tame Impala
Anyone into these guys? I just recently discovered them a couple months back, but I'm digging everything I've heard by them. I'm seeing them in November in NYC and am beyond excited! I love the psychadelia. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wycjnCCgUeshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BgK_Er7WZVghttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b0jqPvpn3sYhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zfcHq0hhFWg

 Re: Tame Impala
That first song has been playing at all of my jobs for the past couple years without fail. I like it sometimes, if I'm in the right mood.
That last sentence also describes how I feel about this band overall. I'm rarely in the mood. But when I do... it's dar.

 Re: Tame Impala
I really like what I have heard from this band, mostly just on the radio. I love psych music, so it's fun to see these modern bands coming out with it. Let us know how the live show is!

 Re: Tame Impala
They're a good occasional listen, but something of a one-trick pony, as production goes. Sure, you can do a lot within that style, but I can personally only listen to them for so long at a time. I do like them, though. Solid band without a doubt, and the songwriter is incredibly talented, dude does pretty much all the writing/arranging/producing, if I recall correctly.

I love these guys, absolutely THE band to listen to while high or tripping.

 Re: Tame Impala
I'll probably put a song or two by 'em on one of my upcoming trip playlists, fo sho. Kinoko Teikoku and Tycho have been really high on my list for that purpose lately, though.

I rarely smoke anymore, but I can only imagine. I find it can even give you a natural high at times...this past summer on two occasions, once in my backyard on a hammock, once on the beach, both at night, headphones in, looking at the sky. It was magical.
I'm beyond pumped for November. It's a semi-large venue (I'm SO happy to catch them before they head to places like Madison Square Garden, even if it's not ideal. I'd have loved to have caught them at a small venue.) but I really hope to catch them after the show for a chat.
