Also, seconding the Kid Yuki for Last Dinosaur sentiment. IMO, it was the only "good" Last Dinosaur cover in the whole competition. I'm happy for that dude.

It's a punk rock version of Trip Dancer and the video is pretty goofy. I had a blast making it. The volume is pretty soft, better to turn up the volume a great bit. I can see it now: Turns out Sawao is a huge Nickelback fan and he declares them the winner. And then Nickelback heads to Japan to claim their prize. Facebook explodes with a bunch of selfies of Sawao and Chad Kroeger. EDIT: And then the next pillows album is a collab with Nickelback. You read it here first.

Re: The Pillows 25th Anniversary Dance & Cover Contest? That was one heck of a contest. I checked for new entries every day and watched every single one. I'm actually sad that it is over, because I really enjoyed seeing so many cool covers. The level of talent this time is insane. I'd go as far as to say that the fans have triumphed over Rock & Sympathy. Really great job to everyone here that entered. I'm really glad to see many strong entries coming from IM members. My personal list of favorite entries consists of 20 covers. Condensing that down to only 10 would be extremely difficult. The judges have a helluva job ahead of them. Predicting the final winners is a crapshoot, because there are so many entries worthy of the honors. I can't wait to see how many of us make top ten next month.
