Did you listen to their cover? Thanks, I thought about not doing anything at all. My plan was sugar night waltz as an intro, sitting on a paper moon, then this as an outro. I'm still gonna finish the cover over the next few months since this guy did the drums and got someone to do vocals.

There video was entertaining, but yeah... the singing. Lol. He was LITERALLY making shit up. That's what lazy weeaboos in middle school would do when they made up lyrics for their favorite anime OP. So I can see what you mean by that. It was embarrassing to even listen to. But at least they... tried? I don't wanna shoot them down completely.

Holy tits. Yeah, he pretty much made it all up. A shame, because the instrumentation is pretty decent and the video wasn't bad either.

To say they tried, when they clearly didn't, is just silly. The whole point of my complaint is that they OBVIOUSLY did not try, any band that's been playing together for several years can get the instrumentation down at least that well.

You know how easy it is to NOT do the shit they did? Print off the lyrics or have an electronic device with internet connection handy. There is ABSOLUTELY no excuse, man.

Meh, I wouldn't take it that far. It is bullshit, but these guys look like they don't give a fuh, and I can respect the fun it looks like they had.

Also, some people are really bad at reading romaji and singing, even if it's right in front of them. So if they decided to enter at the last minute and had to get it done in "5 hours" (like, music, video, and all that), I can see how that might happen.

Personally I would never bother uploading something like that, but yeah. Obviously the band isn't as important to them as they are to us. Since this is an international competition, you should expect anything from anybody. Like, I didn't expect 50 entries in the last week, but hey, that's what happened. Of course some are gonna be weird as hell and some... kinda awful.

I'm sure they'll try to watch all the covers, seems like they did last time around and they gave themselves a full month to go through them. In addition to the IM covers that popped up at the end, there are really sick covers for Wake Up Frenzy!, Enerugia, and Sono Mirai wa Ima. There's also a really, really great cover of Beautiful Morning With You that doesn't have a proper video.

I'm going to stop my tirade, but no matter how Ovlov tries to write off that dick move as them doing something "just for fun" doesn't make it okay or any less disrespectful.

Like GR commented on their video, it's also quite a shame, because the rest of the entry (instruments, video) was actually pretty solid.
