Ha ha ha ha ha ha! I'm sitting here laughing my ass off because I just got off the phone iwth my friend Yoshiaki and he told me Sleepy Head has some "Dirty words" in it. He said he will do his best to translate them. He all ready has them (and Yellow Beans) translated in Romanji and will be sending the full translations to me some time this week.

If only all the anime geeks at ACEN knew the pillows were so naughty, maybe there would have been more thongs thrown up on stage.

i'm curious now... nothing stands out to me in that song, just looking at the lyrics now. but they've certainly tossed out curse words before...

I THINK the song is more of a sexual nature than a few curse words.(probably both I would imagine) I was more or less laughing at how he said it (we both were) than what he said. I guess you had to be there.

Hmm, when you think about it "Wake up sleepy head" may have something to do with, you know, waking up the "sleepy head". I don't know for sure yet but that's kind of the impression I got.

To be honest, this might make sleepy head a much more interesting song to listen to after we know whats it about in a very unique way.

I guess I was wrong about it's content. I don't know what dirty words Yoshiaki was talking about but I don't see any.

Maybe he meant as in more literal terms but anywho...Dirty Words...yeah!

I asked Yoahiaki about the dirty words he was refering to and here was his response.

I am sure you understand it. As you know, there is a certain organazation which can censor all lyrics to remove bad ones. So, some direct dirty words and expressions cannot be written formally here in Japan. So, everyone tends to write indirect dirty words and expressions in every lyrics. Actually, I didn't know about that organization but okay.

Also, it's suppose to be "cheap thrill" not "sheep thrill". It was an error on his part. (Thank God)

ah i see...

i looked up fukenzen in a few more dictionaries, it can mean something like sick, immoral, or unwholesome.

that makes sense though, japanese is an indirect language in the first place (compared to english). now it makes me wonder if there's any other interesting bits i've missed in translating other songs...
