I've listened to it several times already. Really, really good. Sounds like all kinds of Tiny Boat/Liberty-esque goodness and Manabe's lead is [i]noice[/i]. This shit's gonna be on repeat a while!

I hope that someday we'll get to hear an earlier version of the song. It would be cool to compare the versions!

Probably the best song they've done in a while, once again proving it's Sawao's stylistic choices for the band that are leaving me disinterested these days rather than a lack of ability. Sato's drumming is a bit ehh, but not bad. The lack of engrish is also welcome.

I'm not sure that knowing they can play like this when they feel like it is better or worse.

Even though I, for the most part, have been on board with their past albums, there was hardly ever a song that really hit me like their old songs did... but listening to this and seeing those photos of them in suits brought back the feelings of when I first fell in love with the pillows.

It feels so good to finally have Future on my iPod to listen to whenever I want! Hoping for an actual rip of the single to pop up soon so we can get Diary of Amnesia too.

The more I listen to this song though, the more I realize how good Sawao's voice can be. Seriously, this has to be one of his best vocal performances in quite some time, and there's really not a whole lot added to his vocals. Not much doubling, and I could only make out a few instances of some tweaking to the vocals. Also, that bassline is beyond badass... I just can't believe they never put this song out until now. I'm definitely digging it a little more than Liberty at this point.

Is Diary of Amnesia also an unreleased song from that era, or is it new?

Digging the hell out of this. Hardly listened to anything else today. I agree that the vocal is good, and felt like the drums and guitar were pretty solid, too. The bass didn't stand out to me much except for in a few parts. If they recorded a version of this years ago, then it means Kashima would've played on it. Mmmmm. But yeah, mucho bueno.

I also see what Spike's saying. This is a good song. Sure, it was written like 18 or 19 years ago, but the performance and arrangement are awesome, especially when compared to a lot of recent stuff. So, why do recent songs lack the same spunk? Why can't they put out an album of FUTURES, you know? They're still capable of quality stuff, as they've just demonstrated. Buy hey, it's a good day to be a buster, and this song makes me optimistic for their future.
