On thursday, about 5:30 at the hotel, outside the place where they would play the next day, I saw a japanese man with a hat and sunglasses on playing a ukulele, singing Cruel Angel's Thesis. As I walked away, I thought the voice sounded familiar, like the lead from yaer. I'm not sure, but it might have been Sato. Did anyone else see him? I didn't say anything to him because I wasn't sure if it was him.
he did say he liked eva in the anime insider interview.
they underestimated the response and brought too few t-shirts the first go around (hence no t-shirts left by the time they got to sf). so i think they were trying to make up for it this time by bringing as many shirts as they could.

Did they just have the orange buster keychains, like the other concerts or did they have the black and white ones, too? Man, I would be willing to pay for the other two if someone has them...

BEWARE, AVERAGE OTAKU NOW DON PILLOWS SHIRTS.
i fall into the otaku category, but i just happen to be a huge pillows fan. though there are definitely some who take the whole anime thing just a little too seriously, most of us aren't too bad as for the people who basically only know ride on shooting star... i've talked to a lot since the concert, and they're all very interested in hearing more of their stuff.
There was a mosh pit in the area in front of Sawao and i heard that area was the worst cuz it really a lot of tall guys just jumping around (but then, when they came back down, their elbows hit people on the head.. -_-'').
that's pretty much were i was (i'm 5ft 10, do i count as one of those jerk tall guys? ). there wasn't really a pit going on, but it seemed like one wanted to start. me & the other guy i was there with limited ourselves to sort-of-halfway-headbanging, though there were some who were getting a little too crazy for the surrounding people. my friend was actually one of the people who accidentally clipped somebody on the head, he was bringing his arm down out of the air and got bumped into the woman next to him. i feel sorry for both of them, the woman because she got clipped with an elbow, and my bud because he felt really guilty and it kinda wrecked the night's mood for him.
i didnt mention otaku offensively, i was just a bit disappointed with the whole arrangement i guess. i rather liked the enthusiasm of the convention. there was a man dressed in a huge chocobo. also, its better for the pillows to get rid of old stuff. i dont think they would want to keep the "She is Perfect" shirts any longer than theyve had em. (3 years?)
(i forgot what i was going to say...-_-) o well.

Ticket for Friday's show. (i found this one on the floor.. even if i gave it to a random person, it wouldnt help cuz their badges needed the stamp also..)

Walkin' autographed. XD

Flyers were placed on all the seats prior to the Pillows concert only. i feel bad that they were nicely diagonally placed on each of the seats by these old suited Japanese guys, but everyone ended up at the front at the stage, ignoring the seats and just grabbing the flyers (myself included.. )

back of the program book given out. ( i tore it off and trashed the rest cuz i couldnt take it in the concert with me.. >.<)

We tried to go to the Saturday show. "Tried" being the key word here.
My friends and I drove four hours, then got lost in the Chicago suburbs for another two. We had gotten a late start, thereby negating any chance of actually seeing the show. "But at least we'll get to go to the signing!" we said chipperly. "At least we'll get to meet the Pillows!"
Uh-huh.
My friends had to go through the hour and a half line to get their at-con badges. After that we hunted down the Pillows signing, bought some shirts and whatnot, and then went down to the ballroom where the signing was being held. At the door we were confronted by a woman who impolitely demanded where we were going. Upon hearing that we planned to go past her into the room where the Pillows were sitting, she bluntly told us that the signing was closed for the day.
That was at 3:30. According to the program, the signing was supposed to last until 4.
One of us snapped some pictures of them from the door with a disposable camera, and then we made a hasty getaway before security decided we needed to be removed. Later, we went to the convention operations center and registered a complaint with someone in charge.
In short, don't aggravate the pissed-off moderator for the next few days.

I can only assume there was a three hour line to get in the four hour line to complain.

yea. i woke up late that day too, i was hoping to get a picture of with them cuz i didnt get to on friday (dam concert rules). i was near the end of the line for autographs(sat). and first, they cut off the end of the line short, then after an hour, they broke it apart completely because "The Pillows have to cancel the session due to a Press Conference". funny thing was that noone moved when the guy said it, although most of us even nodded. then he stopped taking apart the line-rope and stared at us. then basically figured we were deaf and shooed us away.. i didnt see if the cancellation affected the people already inside. this was around 2:40.

I was the one with the white shirt with the faces fom the interview with them with the British dude. Say what you must about it, but I got an AWESOME reaction from the Pillows with it. They were laughing their asses off and the translator guy asked where I got it and I told him I made it. Then they took pictures and filmed me for a few seconds and signed my Fool on the Planet CD. And the guy with the Sank you my twilight hoody was my friend with me

At least you were told what was going down. We didn't get a reason, just "The signing for today is closed."
We considered barging in one of the side doors, shouting "We love you, Pillows!" And trying to escape before security caught us. By the time we thought to do so though, they were already gone.

Yeah, Musac that hoody guy was me. Were you accociated with the guy with the Naota headband that we were talking to? For awhile I thought you were him till you said you were a girl. He came from Washington. Thats hella far.
Anyway, I saw them on Friday and somehow kept my Thank You My Twilight CD with me during the concert in my sleeve of my hoodie. I was about 3 rows from the front by the last 4 songs. I had to work my way up there because of that damn moving us out for the sound check thing. Otherwise I would have been in Sawao's face.
Then afterwords hurried to the signing. I could only barley afford two shirts.
I got them to sign TYMT and didnt get a picture that day but oh well because I got a picture with them at the Saturday signing.
And at the Saturday signing I forgot everything I wanted them to sign so I ended up getting them to sign my hoodie right where it says The Pillows on the sleeve. They had silver markers.
They wouldn't let us go anywhere near the Pillows. They were so uptight about things but I guess I can understand.
All in all it was an amazing concert.
It was quite dissapointing though that the..hmm.. not as dedicated fans as us get see them and some of you not get to see them at all.
There was this one little kid who brought his guitar and in line for signing a man with a camera from the press was intereviewing him about the Pillows and he said his favorite song was Little Busters and Ride On Shooting Star or some bologna.
Honestly you all should have been there instead of him and a hundred others like him.
When im unlazy enough pictures will be posted.
