Thanks for posting that GR. I never heard of Primer Beat before. I quite like it because it sounds very nostalgic. It makes me remind me of their KS and LF days.

How is everyone doing on their cover? I just finished editing the drum portion of my song. It took me 4 days to get it to be decent

Still away at school, I haven't even been able to start thinking about arrangements. Probably won't make an inch of progress until spring break, with the final touches/main work being done after this semester ends in May

I worried about view count last time because of the whole "winners will be selected based on video views" thing. I rushed my entry and probably could have polished it a lot more. I'm not so worried this time around. Also, there are always going to be contestants that farm tons of views by spamming their video all over the internet (I remember the My Foot cover).
And besides, it seemed like last time, they realized how picking the winners based on view count was a stupid idea and chucked it near the end. Several of the later entries from last time made it into the finals. Nearly all of the finalists made it there because they made quality entries that deserved to be there, so quality will be my main concern this time. I definitely won't have anything up on the 16th... but as far as I'm concerned, we have until July 16th.

That was my thought process too. Having such a wide entry period and then judging based on view count is extremely skewed, and I remember a lot of later entries getting into the finalists last time.

I'd rather have an entry I'm proud of then one I scramble to make work!

For sure, I'll do the same since it makes much more sense to make a good quality cover than a rushed one

I'm gonna have my entry done some time in April for sure. The music's almost done. But the video is just as important, really, if you're going for the Gold.

I'm no cinematographer, and have little to know recording equipment, so my video is gonna be pretty bare bones, but I'm hoping my song choice/arrangement ranks it among the top!

I like your videos though Tidus, can't wait to see what you put out.
