Re: Bloodthirsty Butchers
I'm just glad I got to see them play songs like July, Sayonara Bunsho, Poolside, and other classics at the concert two years ago... it's still the best live I've ever been to.
I'ma buy it. These guys really poured their hearts out over the years.
Looking forward to it. Maybe, I will buy it too. Some day. If I will go to Japan to see the pillows, I'll probably buy some albums from the pillows, NG and Bloodthirsty Butchers. I prefer their later albums. I really dig 'No Album Mudai'. It is a consistent album, I actually like every track on it. That is rarely the case with me. Powerful rock.

Re: Bloodthirsty Butchers
I always think No Album is meh for some reason, until I listen to it. Then I think, "hey, this is really good!"
Guitarist is also a hella solid release, it got too much hate back when it came out. The title track is one of my favorite BTB songs period.

Re: Bloodthirsty Butchers
No Album Mudai is really good. You just have to listen to it. Ocean and Curve are phenomenal as well.
When I listened to them back in the day I thought BTB was a band that had little idea what they were doing, but once I got used to it, I noticed that they've got some of the best moments in rock music going on through all of that guitar noise. Love it. So far I can listen to about 40% of their stuff and really, really enjoy it. The rest seems meh or inaccessible.
August dude! It's all about August!

Re: Bloodthirsty Butchers
Destroyer reminds me of Animal Collective, which I think is pretty cool.

I had never heard of these guys before, but the other day I stumbled across their cover of GO!GO!7188's JETTO Ninjin. Not bad.
