I just checked out Starfucker's latest album, it's quite good. Snagged (and loved) Dive, by Tycho, via Spike's suggestion, and I also have been jamming to Matt Pond PA's latest release. Lamp is a favorite band of mine, though I haven't listened to 'em in a long while. Their newer stuff kind of turned me off, but I actually went and imported a couple of their older albums a few years back. I haven't even done that for the pillows lol.

I'm definitely a fan of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. I know a few Noodles songs, and I find them quite pleasant and enjoyable. I like what I've heard from Amanda Palmer, including both the Dresden Dolls and her solo stuff, but I'm not that familiar with her music in general. Same goes for Tegan and Sara, whom I've also heard great things about. And of course, if you want to go old school, Heart is one of my longtime favorite bands.

Thing is, your question is pretty open-ended: I can name a fair number of groups with frontwomen, if that's what you're looking for, and they span a multitude of genres. It's kind of like asking for good Japanese bands: there's a bunch of different kinds out there, and all I can really do is give you what I like to listen to out of personal preference.

I guess just in the rock/ punk/ poppunk poprock genre.
