The Sawao single [u]is[/u] legit. I saw it and immediately realized that it would be the perfect smokescreen. The pillows single was the April Fools. I mean, [i]really[/i]. Bebop got it right away. The only thing it's missing is the Impact font, which I didn't use since I thought it would make it [i]too[/i] obvious.

I knew it was a joke because of the stock photo and the fact that your katanata for "abnormal" was wrong. I was originally going to play along by adding additional details about the single, like how it would be a theme in an anime or somethin'. I got lazy and discouraged because the forum was so dead, though.
Good that at least someone did something here for April Fool's though, so props for that.

Yeah I for one was fooled....the cover did seem a little too photostock but also entirely possible

Haha, I'm like... 4 years since the last time I had taken Japanese at university. My listening comprehension is possibly at an all-time high because of Japanese media, but my ability to read/write/speak/construct has gone to absolute shit, so no surprise that I screwed up the katakana.

I also for some reason found it hard to resist the urge to make track 3 "bluebird flies to babel with blue poppies in bloom OH REAH"

I can't really add to April Fool's jokes on here anymore after pranking kids hard a few times, so I stayed out of it completely this time around, but props for sure, and I dug using the Sawao single as cover, clever as shit. Rather than the lack of impact font and the katakana, what tipped me of was a) the date you posted combined with b) the lack of any "new release" email from hmv et al regarding the supposed single.

It would've been more convincing if the title wasn't in all-caps.

Speaking of April Fool's, last year I pranked everyone hard on Facebook about a made-up job working for my favorite Japanese clothes company.

A year later, I actually have that exact job. Life is nuts.

Not bad. I just read this first. I would've caught on by the blog link though. =P

I thought one of my friends was pranking everyone because on April 1st she emailed a 'save the date' for her wedding. She's been with her bf for yeeeears, so no one's expected them to get married anytime soon. But it was real.
