My try on the solo. Its not 100% accurate but I think I got the gist of it down. In the 916 video Manabe just went down on the high e but I found that too bothersome so I just made it go down.

Instead of start a different topic I'll just piggy back on this. I tabbed this one out last night but I'm still building up my speed and stamina to get through it without mistakes. It's a quick little number! I'll post a video this weekend when I'm home and if there is enough interest for tabs I'll tab it out. The tab section is pretty dead though, for shame.

MyFoot, I hope your tab reflects the fact that the previously posted tab's solo is mad incorrect.

The first multiple notes (at 2:37) on the e-string DEFINITELY have Gs in between them - it sounds like the G string on the 12th fret. See: Swanky Street's solo at 2:17.

And this part of the solo doesn't start on the D string's G (5). And this sequence doesn't sound remotely like this. Seriously, whoever has been playing the solo like this has a broken ear. Also, the way Manabe plays it live, there are a few more notes here and there.

Also, it doesn't sound like the ending chords (C, D, G) are arpeggiated like that.

One of the main reasons I undertook the project besides personal interest was that both Shizoku's and the solo tab above were both incorrect. No disrespect, it's a tricky song, and the old mono style recording makes the guitar hard to hear, not to mention the reverb/chorus effects make the bright/jangly arpeggios hard to decipher note for note. My tab is very different, it reworks the verses entirely, the solo includes those G's you mentioned, and though since I too had to deal with difficulties I mentioned, it may not be 100% what Manabe-beast played way back when, but I feel it's an accurate representation.

Sorry if my handwriting is terrible....it is haha, but I tried to contrast it has dark as posible! Also, in the beginning of the solo, the open G string is actually the 12th fret on the G string!

BONUS Hello Girl tab rather than start a different thread because it was on the same page in my book.
Also, when I write above the staff that means the high e string. I transformed a standard notation staff paper notebook into a tab staff notebook, so there are only 5 ledger lines, strings E-b. The 6th is invisible.

Another note...the Hello Girl tab is the acoustic guitar part, I assume Manabe. I did this one because the solo is so cool, and if you play it on acoustic, it sounds awesome! I tried to get some videos up last weekend when I was home but then shit happened and I couldn't record. Will do asap...

EDIT: Just playing through these again, forgot to mention, every recording I found/the one I have, the ending is cut off, so I ended it the way the pees (?) ended it on Synchronized Rockers.
