Re: The Last Show you Went to/Next Show you will Go to New Order was really awesome last night. Vocals were amazingly good, very impressive performance. They had some video clip for each song they played being projected behind them, and the venue had really cool lighting.

I had an amazing time. I was right at the front on the left side, so I was mere feet from the bassist/keyboardist and the rhythm guitarist. The show blew my fro off (I had my fro out. It is very large now). Some of those moments were so crazy and intense that I thought I was going to explode!
After the show I met both guitarists and got a picture with the lead guitarist and my bandmates! They were so cool. Immediately after the show was over both guitarists went out and started smoking teh weedz together. haha
I'll have pics later. Epic night! Picked up an album and a couple of shirts.
The ONLY downside to the night is that I failed parallel parking and hit someone's car. My car wasn't damaged at all (super slow speed), but they had a cheap plastic bumper on their front, and I broke some of it off. So I'm gonna have to pay to have that fixed (and I'm already poor thanks to my amp and guitar... so I have to borrow more money from people ><). BUT, that is small compared to the rest of this awesome night!

Ive started to really like post-rock shows. It's a whole different experience. I really want to see Explosions in the Sly.

When the lead guitarist was getting bombarded by people wanting to take pictures I shrugged and said "you're a rockstar!" and he shook his head and said, "No, YOU'RE a rockstar!" back to me. We were in the 4th and 5th rows of people right in the center.  Apparently somebody recorded the whole show and it's up on YouTube in pretty good quality (albeit black and white).

Fun fact: much of their discography was actually recorded with Steve Albini  As much as I love their new one and Hymn, I really think You Are There is my favorite album by them. And nice mare, that's where I saw Temper Trap, beautiful venue! I definitely would enjoy catching other acts there!
