No Pocky For Kitty is great for their 90's sound http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZeAFUAW2ShMLeaves in the Gutter EP is also freakin' awesome, but it's one of their newer ones http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwdG52iQkZA

Re: What are you currently listening to?
I like the sound. Plus they're from North Carolina. I'll give it a listen.

Touming Magazine http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDckLyot ... re=relatedListen to this! It's catchy as hell! only heard 2 songs of this band so far, but I'm pretty excited! "The band credits old-school alternative-rock pioneers such as the Pixies, Weezer and Sonic Youth as inspirations, and while they say they’re still proudly upholding punk roots..." This is the other song I just heard: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NYkbHjMe ... re=related
Oooooh, how I love discovering cool new music. Definitely gonna check out some more of their stuff. edit: Oh... look what we've got here, haha what a coincidence: "Lots of Taiwanese indie bands know how to get a crowd moving, but few pull it off with the verve and humor of Touming Magazine (透明雜誌). The four-piece band’s debut release, which is better translated into English as “Our Soul Music” (我們的靈魂樂), pays tribute to the sound of late 1980s and early 1990s American alternative bands like the Pixies and Superchunk. But 28-year-old lead vocalist and guitarist Hung Shen-hao (洪申豪) also has a penchant for Motown and hip-hop, and those elements sneak their way into this peppy collection of well-crafted tracks." Listening to this album right now... I think most of you will appreciate the album. At least I do .

Re: What are you currently listening to?
Sweet I will def check that out when I'm not on the iPad Ashinow, can't wait! Hoh shit! I just got déjà vu, I watched that video years ago and really dug it, thanks for that Lostman! EDIT: REALLY like that band Ashinow! I'll definitely look into more of their stuff, both links you posted were great, but the second one especially kicked ass. Plus the guy plays a Mustang, so I'm a sucker. The Ric lured me to this one as well and it does not dissappoint! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=po1DIe6Z ... re=relatedI'm currently listening to this indie band, Oceanographer. They just recently got back together and have been doing shows around Brooklyn, I really want to go but they're mostly 21+ :/ I love the atmosphere and layering in this song, and the drums! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-d6C2b_7bec

Re: What are you currently listening to?
Touming Magazine are pretty damn good. Super Number Girl-influenced, you can hear the influence really strong on the first album.

Re: What are you currently listening to?
I love Touming Magazine, Our Soul Music was pretty much my favorite album last year, and the recent Touming Magazine Forever EP is really good, too. They're like all the best parts of early Number Girl and Going Steady wrapped into one band.

As sort of a side thing, I've replayed this video about 5 times today... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mUSzGS_Qy90But the Band came on my iPod today and I fell back in love. I freakin' love this performance, Levon Helm's voice is amazing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jREUrbGGrgM

Re: What are you currently listening to?
You should never feel guilty of listening to something that you like/love. Heck, I listen to The Beatles, Suzukisan, and Alan Menken! Some times I will dig up video game soundtracks, if I feel like it. Let's face it guys, I'm losing interest to music I'm supposed to listen to than to music I WANT to listen to.
I don't, but some people think they are.
Really? Also, I don't actually feel guilty when listening to stuff like Gackt. It's just pleasurable pop; when I'm in the mood, it hits the right spots. And it isn't as messy as masturbation.
