I heard Bastion was a bunch of smoke and mirrors. Still looks like a fun.. kill-stuff kinda game though.

Plus 1 for Bastion, though you'd probably be better playing it on a controller than a keyboard, sadly. They did not optimize the angles of the levels for the angles of movement given to you, even though it's pretty much all at right angles to itself. Other than the silly damage you'll occasionally take from that garbage, and the stupidity of giving you a shadow under your cursor to line up shots rather than the cursor itself, it's a fantastic game. The narration can be a bit over-much, but the gameplay is solid as hell and the music is great.

Played Duke Nukem Forever a few weeks ago.

Loved the breast in the game.

Discovered this cool MMORPG/MMOFPS hybrid called Firefall while I was at PAX this year, and got into the closed beta as a result. It's a surprisingly fun game to play. Gameplay is pretty solid, the visual effects are shiny and sexy, and the missions/quests, while mostly standard ho-hum RPG-style quests, provide some objective to the game without getting in the way. There's also a super extensive tech tree and a bunch of weapons upgrades and gear customizability. I've only been playing this for a couple of days, but it's pretty sweet so far.

Firefall looks pretty sweet. Definitely reminds me of Borderlands. Definitely looking to get into the beta now.

You dirty little.. is it as awesome as everyone says it is? I'm really hoping to go to a PAX within the next couple years. As for games I'm playing: Guild Wars 2. I'm not balls deep in love with it as much as everyone else is, mainly because of the more action oriented aspect of it, but I'm hoping that it'll grow on me as I level up. However, I can definitely say that I've had more good ol' plain fun with it than ANY other MMO that I've played. Maybe I do really love it, but I'm really scared of being bad at it come end game. Who knows. If anyone decides to pick it up, hop on Stormbluff Isle if you can. Alucard and I are already on there.

If you regularly play any kind of games (be they video games, board games, or card games), or if you just like to nerd out in general, then PAX will undoubtedly be as awesome as we all say it is.

I just Finished Arkahm Asylum.

it was AMAAZING. I really loved the acting, the 'voice clips'.
It was awesome. The last battle was pretty cool. Really wasn't sure how it was going to end to be honest. Well, I mean besides having to fight joker I mean.

Was planning on starting Arkahm City. But they will have to wait for tomorrow

I got into the beta a couple days back and have been playing it since. Wow. This game has a lot of potential, but it's really rough around the edges right now. I think I've gotten so used to betas being near-finished games that just need balance checks that this comes as a pretty big surprise at how much is unfinished.

That being said, combat is excellent for a shooter, but PvE gets redundant kind of quickly. I do love the random localized events though. It's a very nice touch to a game. Also: Jetpacks. I really like that I don't feel limited in where I can go in the game. And the parts where I am limited in being able to go have reasons for it. It's very nice so far. I can't wait for them to release the PvE milestone.

I'm not a huge gamer, but I've been looking for something to play on my Wii lately and a friend recommended Monster Hunter Tri. My Wii's been gathering dust for a while now. Don't remember the last game I actually enjoyed playing on it. Maybe Pokemon Battle Revolution?

Anyway, I managed to find the game for cheap online and I gave it a shot. It's pretty addictive so far. I wasn't especially excited to hear about the Wii U, however knowing that a new Monster Hunter game is coming out for it, well, I might be willing to buy the console just for that. It looks a lot more expansive than Tri.

Also picked up Samurai Warriors 3. Looking forward to a little button-mashing this weekend.
