Avatar: The Last Airbender/Legend of Korra
Sup? The creators of Avatar: The Last Airbender have created a sequel called The Legend of Korra, which takes place ~70 years after Aang's period. Some characters from the original Avatar make a reappearance or are extensively referred to. The new Avatar takes place in an industrialist society where cars are commonplace and there are great modern cities. The new avatar must navigate an increasingly political lifestyle as opposed to dishing out vigilante justice like Avatars in the past. You can watch the first two episodes of the new series at www.korranation.com ...I think, but it's not as straightforward as it was before. Maybe they were taken down? I dunno. Google it. In any case, I'm looking forward to watching the new series and in the mean time, I'm (re)watching the old series. It was on my to-do list, and I never got around to seeing every episode. I really liked the story telling aspect of the series and I've greatly appreciated the amount of character development and reoccuring themes in each episode (My cabbages!) The characters in the original Avatar felt authentic, real. They possessed real human qualities and grew as individuals due to their flaws and faults. What do you guys think? You looking forward to the new series? Have you seen the old series? What did you think about it?
(My cabbages!)
Lolololol.
Avatar was a good show. I enjoyed it back when it first aired and recently re-watched it on Netflix. I may try and catch the sequel. My wife is a big fan of the show, so I'm sure she'll be following it pretty closely.

I loved the first series, and I caught the first two episodes of Korra when they leaked. This is looking pretty promising. Not gonna lie.

I guess the "official" premiere will be this Sunday at 11:00 on Nick for those who are interested.

Ok, good. Looks like episode 5 got all the retarded love triangle shit out of the way. Now hopefully we can wrap up this tournament and move on to the main plot, which is very interesting.

I'm a bit curious as to how the story will be fleshed out considering we're only on book one. If it's going to be like The Last Airbender, it could potentially go up to four books. I doubt we're past the love triangle by any means.
I'm a bit disappointed that the reigning champs for the Pro Bending Circuit turned out to be giant douchebags. It would be nice to see actual bending masters beat the Fire Ferrets or provide some kind of beneficial learning experience.
I'm also eager to learn about Korra's "Aang" flashback and see how Aang potentially fucked things up for Korra similarly to how Avatar Roku did for Aang. Also super interested in Amon's backstory since he doesn't seem to spiritbend like Aang did to remove someone's bending.

Re: Avatar: The Last Airbender/Legend of Korra
I agree with Blank. That episode just set it up to be more dramatic/emotional in the future with the love triangle stuff. Also, I'm not the kind of person to do shipping or anything, but, mang, Bo Lin >>> Mako. That guy's funny as the dickens.

Re: Avatar: The Last Airbender/Legend of Korra
This show is awesome! It exceeded all of my expectations. I can't wait until Korra starts to get into the spirit world stuff so we can see big Aang!
Do you guys think that the spirits actually did give Amad that power because Korra neglected to learn about the spirit world? The Avatar is supposed to be the bridge between, but Korra is definitely an imbalance.

Lyn is awesome! The Animation is so cool during the fight scenes!
I wonder what Korra's flashback was about.

I have a crush on adult Toph. No, but seriously. Those flashbacks are pulling at me. We need to get a flashback episode, like we did with Avatar Roku.

Re: Avatar: The Last Airbender/Legend of Korra
I switched back to working nights and when I was up on Saturday morning I caught an episode of this on Nick. It was Korra's team vs. the cheating champs and the big bad stormed the arena afterwards. I really enjoyed it. I never watched the original Avatar cartoon but I was immediately impressed with this. Korra is totally baller! I cheered when she took that snob out with the misdirection water kick in the tiebreaker. I'm smitten.

I've been meaning to watch Korra, but I've only seen the first two episodes when they were leaked online. I've got some catching up to do
