That seems like a really great live set. I know Ice Pick is amazing live.

Re: the pillows Set List Archive
I don't know if I'd call it great, interesting perhaps. But isn't it kinda weird there's nothing from LB, RH, or HB on that setlist? At least there's 2 PML songs being played though. But Johnny Strobe... yea that doesn't need to be played anymore.

Re: the pillows Set List Archive
I meant "great live set" as in "pretty much all of those songs are great live or seem like they'd be great live, and I bet that was one awesome, high-energy show."

Re: the pillows Set List Archive
Setlist's continued to stay stable. A couple more shows with the exact same one, with just Funny Bunny being played in place of Wake Up! Dodo at the most recent.

Re: the pillows Set List Archive
Yeah... Last night's show was also the same, only with Funny Bunny replacing Wake up!dodo. It's understandable, but I wish they would shake it up a bit more.

Re: the pillows Set List Archive
Well, I don't really think this alone is a big deal. The static setlist is more of an oddity at that, as their last few tours have all had some more variety.
It's a single tour, the expectation is that most fans will only see them once over its course. Generally, the pillows play a wide spectrum of their material. You could have seen them last year on the Horn Again tour and then see them play almost an ENTIRELY different show on the Trial tour so far.
On the contrary, look at a band like Muse. They've spent several years playing practically the same exact set. The amount of older material they play is very static. The pillows, meanwhile, though they trend to certain things, could be expected to basically play anything from as far back a PML.

Re: the pillows Set List Archive
^This is true. I'm not worried at all about their setlists. They always spice it up at some point, and the pillows consistently dig into their back catalogue for every single show. Even in America we get random b-sides like Mr. Droopy in there. If it's one thing you can count on about the band, it's that they really respect their own music, and are always digging back and bringing songs older or newer back into rotation every tour.

Re: the pillows Set List Archive
Wow I had no idea they had other unreleased songs let alone performed them live! I'm definitely interested in hearing those other unreleased songs such as FUTURE and NEVER ON AIR!!
I was looking at the Tiny Boat tour set list. After looking at it, and saw Beautiful Picture listed there, it seems Beautiful Picture was originally an unreleased song. Why was the song released late? I'm really interested in hearing the original arrangements for it!
