I like the lyrics.

I think I know why I'm not enjoying the new songs as much as I could be. Mainly because I don't really know the lyrics to it. And the pillows to me have always been about the lyrics. It's good that you're contributing. Thanks man.

Thanks for the translation! I've been wanting to try basic translating of some of the songs on Horn Again, but my Japanese is even weaker than it used to be and I didn't even get half way through one song before giving up

Out of curiosity, how do the instances of だろう play into the English? You translated those phrases in the future tense, so does the だろう make it kind of an uncertain future tense, like he's saying it in hopes it will be what happens? Kind of like "We WILL move forward?"


Oh and if by chance you were translating more of the album and unsure of what to do next, Lily, Limp Tomorrow, or Nobody Knows would be fine choices

だろう doesn't always really translate into English, nor does it always really mean anything. A lot of times it's just added for flavor, or to vary sentence endings.

It means perhaps, or maybe, or probably, or will. It's meaning depends entirely on the intonation of the speaker, to be honest.

I'm teaching Japanese this quarter at UC Davis in California BTW.

Yeah well, some of the Japanese lecturers here are a bit...well you know. I'm currently a disagreement with one of them, and it's not even with my boss.
