Started watching Naoki Urasawa's Monster recently. It's pretty good. I'm at episode 27 and there hasn't been a dull one yet.

I thought the first 3 were dull.

Well, they were really slow paced and just didn't capture my attention. I stopped watching after that.

I've been watching Yakitate Japan! recently. It's pretty hilarious in its cheesiness and I enjoy some of its references to other anime (like Hokuto no Ken.)

Angel Beats was really cool.
I also am liking Mushi-shi!!!

Monster is quite slow-paced, and it's a little daunting when you consider that the show is 74 episodes long, but I'm constantly impressed by the complexity of the plot and the personalities of various characters. Naoki Urasawa's characters- even the minor ones- tend to have about them a warmth and realism that intrigues me. If you have some time to kill, check out a few more episodes. It could be that the series just isn't your cup of tea, but things don't really start to pick up till after the third episode.

I've watched the first 45 episodes. If it weren't for class later today, I'd just order a pizza and marathon the rest in a single go. It's been a long time since I've been this interested in an anime.

I was referred to this anime (Monster) by a friend of mine about 2 or even 3 years ago.
At the time I thought it was gloomy.
The sober colors, the realism, the unflashiness of it all . . .didn't really got to me. (I watched more than 3 episodes)
And above all the atmosphere was so onerous and depressing.
For me it was so 'non-anime' like. (All animes I watched were the contrary of Monster, in pace, mood, setting etc.)

Hmm. . .maybe I should give it another try, though.

I've been wanting to rewatch a few of my favorite animes'. Mainly just paranoia agent and tokyo god fathers. I heard it was good. I'm into that kind of animes'. Similar to paranoia agent, or paprika.

Any recommendations?

I'd recommend Boogiepop Phantom, Metal. It's similar to Paranoia Agent, but better overall, IMO. Great atmosphere, intricate plot and some genuinely creepy scenes. One of my all-time favorites.

So, what's next for me IM? Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex or Monster? I've only seen a few episodes of each.

Lol, I'd recommend Monster. Never been a GitS fan, personally.

Stayed away from these since I figured noone here liked anime... I should say I didn't know they existed. XD Anyway, GITS... Cause I've watched it and not monster...
