Re: New US Pillows Tour. (Seattle date confirmed)
Should also mention that they're playing in Austin, Texas on the 13th.
And I guess at least the pillows + noodles + one more = still less acts than most of their other tours here.
As mentioned, Brye, I'll be at the SF show. Would be cool to meet up with some IM'ers since I missed out last year. Guess it just depends on the details since I'd probably have to head there straight from work. If not I was possibly just leaning toward sacrificing stage proximity and first showing up at Slim's at about 8.

I'm pretty excited for noodles, so I'm not really seeing them as just another opening act.
Does anyone know what they usually play over here?

It varies, I think. I'm a noodles fan and wasn't terribly impressed by them last year. But I'm not super familiar with all of their post-Junko (i.e. post-Fuzz Hill/Vain Dog cover) discography and earlier in this thread Jomei said they had played a really meh set list last time.

IT'S OFFICIAL http://www.delicious-label.com/nap/nap_tour2011.html
Great another opening band. Is anyone able to get a message to the pillows that we want longer set lists, and less opening acts. Please tell me I am not the only one who thinks this.
Seriously. For fuck's sake. The Noodles? Who the fuck are the Noodles? And All Ages? What is this shit? Okay, Sawao. Want to promote the shitty bands on your shitty label? That's fine. Just let them play a song or two and GTFO.

The doors opened at 8pm and they didn't take the stage until 11 or so. Considering that the pillows aren't, you know, a huge arena rock name, two opening bands is not that bad, IMO.

Really? the pillows have hardly enough popularity to draw substantial audiences in the United States as it is. So it makes absolutely no sense to dilute that attraction with two other bands (that no one has ever before heard of) whose sole existence depends entirely upon Sawao's pet favoritism.

Yes it does, if he can sell more CDs and merchandise from his label. Anyway, All Ages doesn't appear to be a Delicious band, although it's possible they could soon be. Their last album was released on their own label. http://www.amazon.com/A-New-Kind-of-Cit ... 719&sr=8-2

Ok, I thought you were just trolling with your previous post... but really? How the hell has no one heard of the Noodles? I'm really happy they're touring with them again. It was great seeing them last year. Also, two openers is pretty normal for just about, well every show I've ever been too save maybe 1 or 2.

I knew about noodles already, them I don't mind. I was referring to the all ages, why the hell would I want to see them. It just takes away how much time the pillows will play.

If they would play a longer setlist I would not care, but it seems the more opening acts, the less time the pillows play.

Yes.

the pillows concerts I have been to the venue was completely packed. They would most likely not fill a arena, but the venues they do hit do sell out.
