Manabe's father passed away before the March EQ, and both Jun and Shin's parents were out of touch for a while as a result, but are apparently fine, though they had to stay in a shelter for a while (not sure if they're out and back in their own homes yet or what) and were out of touch for a bit. Japan has really been hit with more than anybody's share of terribly sad disasters lately, and my heart goes out to them. I don't know what to say really, but it's just really depressing and heartbreaking to hear about so much loss of life and property, and I almost wish I were the praying type simply because then at least I'd know a way to express my sorrow and empathy properly.

At any rate, this is sad to hear. Hope that Manabe and the rest of his family are doing well during these harsh times. People all over Japan have been through a lot in the past few months. My heart goes out to them.

Updated/fixed. I had to hit the sack last night while only hearing most of the story, apparently his father passed around March 5th, the earthquake itself happening on of course the 11th. Details aren't really available, but I'll post the rest of the story that I have heard later today.

My condolences to Manabe and his family. I'm actually surprised that it hapened in March. It doesn't seem like the pillows slowed down at all because of it.

Yeah man, I hope that they are recovering well.

I hope Manabe has been doing well, in what must have been harsh circumstances. I wish him my condolences.
