It's not so bad on the first listen. The chorus is kind of bland, but it's got a real funky kind of catchy riff. Not as bad as I thought it'd be.

I think we've done this before with nico... for Lemon Drops IIRC. I'm not sure what to do but I remember someone gave us a user name to input or something of that nature. I guess I'll look through the old Ooparts thread.

All credit goes to Goshin for finding it but here it is for anyone having problems with Megaupload. I don't hate it but I don't see myself giving it repeat listens. Engrish kills it for me and it just sounds like something that didn't make the cut for Horn Again. Boring chorus.

The main reason I want the single is to hear the 'Nine Miles' version of Doggie Howl. I mean, how you could not want to hear that? Either it's going to be awful or amazing.

I'm dead tired of the same guitar effect they've been using in the last four albums or so.

Someone posted a video here of manabe showing off a Line 6 M13 Modeler, and in Part 3 he shows how it's used for each song on Horn Again. I've seen it in his pedal board for awhile now and I completely blame that for why his tone sucks. I still really like Horn Again but that thing is choking the color out of his tone.

Manabe looks very tired in that video.

That sound that those effects are producing just sounds very monotone to me, and that's a big reason why I haven't liked a lot of the songs. The exceptions are Brilliant Crown, Movement, Nobody Knows, even if for the last one the bit he played was pretty minimal. and I don't have as much technical experience as some of you here, but I will agree with what Revol and Spike have said.

I quite like that song. It's very catchy.


I hope the Doggie Howl remix turns up somewhere soon.

Decent verse, bland chorus. Perhaps if the Engrish accent wasn't so nasal and weird, it would work out okay though, actually.

Edit: I think the blandness of the chorus is entirely because of Sawao's singing, melodically and everything else, it sounds quite nice, actually. A little more intensity and better pronunciation and I'm pretty sure most people here would be digging this.

Ditto. Musically, it's fairly enjoyable, even if a little bland and hackneyed. But yeah, the vocals are really...meh. Sawao, please don't try to imitate Johnny Ramone ever again.
