ITT:
> Brilliant Crown > Beyond the Moon
Pick one.
I don't think that's fair and square. Brilliant Crown could better be compared with Ame agari. . . (we already know which song wins, though =P

Brilliant Crown has been growing on me more and more as I keep listening. It went from OK to pretty damn good. Those last few "YEAHS" are filled with a lot of passion. It tops Beyond the Moon easily for me.

The ending is the best part of the song, I'll grant that.
edit: taken a certain way, that could sound like an underhanded compliment, but I mean it sincerely. The outro part is cool.

Re: [2011.1.24] HORN, AGAIN - New album
Some people don't like Beyond the Moon? Craziness.
Anyway, after a few days and listening to the album a few times, it's fallen in line with their last few as a "listen to the first few tracks then skip around for one or two others" deal. I've been revisiting Limp Tomorrow, Give Me Up, Movement and Sad Fad Love, that's about it. Biography is on the bubble. The rest I skip. They're not bad like most of the tracks I skip on their last few outings, just kind of unremarkable.

I really like this album. Like really. The songs I like the least (Lilly and Brilliant Crown) I still like on about a level with most of their better post TYMT output. (Ok well definitely less than Ladybird Girl or Scarecrow, but that's to be expected). Also, I'm really diggin' Doggie Howl. It's catchy, and a fun way to close the album. I just pretend it's in another language.

Herp derp not due until April 18th. I recently purchased some fan newsletters and Walkin' on the Spiral off the lovely Mr. Lostman.

Re: [2011.1.24] HORN, AGAIN - New album
This album is a good step forward, I think. I was really impressed with several of the songs. I LOVE Nobody Knows What Blooms. Seems like classic pillows, kind of like Beautiful Morning with You maybe, but with a different sound musically. Tied for tops is Movement, I'm still listening to that song like crazy. And finally, I really like Doggie Howl as a song, but the Engrish hurts me. Fortunately, ignoring the lyrics is a skill I developed a long time ago with the pillows because of the language barrier, the sound of their music is what hooked me and probably most of us. Also, the Doggie Howl PV is awesome. After that, my ranking goes: Biography, Brilliant Crown, Limp Tomorrow, Give me up! , Lily My Sun, Emerald City, Sad Fad Love. By the way: It was extremely hard for me to make this list, and I'll take that as a sign of good things. Conclusion: HORN AGAIN is solid. Also: Is it just me, or are there a few songs on here that sound kind of Predators-like in places? The intro to Give me up! in particular sounds like it could be in a Predators song. I also got this impression from parts of Biography.

Don't think it's been mentioned. For anyone curious, Horn Again debuted at #8 with 14k copies sold. Think oricon only tracks physical sales though? Forgot.

I dare say most sales in America will be through iTunes, as well.

Yeah, this is about a week old now, but the pillows hit #8 with this one at the one week mark, with a little over 14,000 copies sold.
