Re: [2011.1.24] HORN, AGAIN - New album
I recall an interview in which Sawao said he originally had "I want call you my buddy" as the hook and he changed it after he saw the movie Scarecrow.
Sauce, anyone?

Try searching the forum for it, lol. I definitely recall it being about that film though, or at least partially inspired by it in some way.

Metal and his alt are banned. Next time guys, don't add to the spam if metal creates it in the pillows subforum. Cleaning up is easier that way.
Continue Horn Again discussion.
I think Give Me Up and Brilliant Crown are probably the weakest tracks, but only for their blandness.
Also I really like Biography's intro riff, but I feel like a weak chorus lets the song down.
Limp Tomorrow is still easily my favorite. I like everything about that one.

I actually like Brilliant Crown a lot. I usually hate those rock ballady kind of songs, but this one is . A very melancholic song with a cool pillows style outro. For me, Give Me Up! is the only negligible track on the album.

Re: [2011.1.24] HORN, AGAIN - New album
I personally think Give Me Up needs more love. I think it's way better than other short songs as of late like The Air Resister, Johnny Strobo, and especially Youngster. It's seriously a perfect pop song, and I love how we still get one of Manabe's awesome solos in the short amount of time. This song goes on repeat often.

It's mostly the chorus that I don't like.

Heh, that's the part I love most. I could see how it could get grating on people I suppose, but I love singing along to it.

Me too. I never really payed much attention to Youngster until I saw it being played live. It really shines with a live audience.

Hm, I think Brilliant Crown is their weakest ballad-like track since... forever.

That's a shame, but what makes you think it is?

Aw, I really like Beyond the Moon (originally called Mikadzuki no Koi). Great lead guitar with the call-and-answer style, imo.

I agree Brilliant Crown is a very weak ballad. Beyond the Moon however was a really good song.

The song offers nothing. It would have been nice if they'd included some strings in the chorus, but that would have meant expecting too much from the current pillows. Very bleak and redundant attempt, unlike Beyond the Moon, which is quite good.

Beyond The Moon was just about the only keeper for me off of OOPARTS. You haters are crazy.
