 Hitchhikers Guide if you planned on seeing it, dont. doubly true if you've read the books. the only movie i've wanted to walk out of during the OPENING credits, and one of the few movies i HAVE walked out of (about half way through)
for all of you with even the slightest hope it would be a good movie, the final nail in the coffin: IT WAS PRODUCED BY DISNEY. need i say more?

I saw it last Saturday. I enjoyed it and so did all my friends, and we've all read the books. It's not the best adaptation but it definitely wasn't a waste of money.

The previews looked pretty cool, but then again I haven’t read the book.
Sometimes people who know the source material can ruin the movie for the rest of us.
Some people don't have the same feverish reverence for a book or comic as the fans, and the fact that the movie deviates from the source material doesn't hurt the movie.

unfortunately, i can't help comparing the movie to the book, unless the movie and the book go along distinctly different storylines. or at least alternate ones.
